Support, Education, and Connection

01

Trauma Education

We provide in-depth, accessible trauma education through workshops, toolkits, and seminars designed for individuals, professionals, and communities. Our goal is to raise awareness, dismantle myths, and empower people with knowledge that fosters prevention, understanding, and effective support for survivors of sexual trauma. Education is the first step toward change and advocacy.

02

Support & Referral Resources

We support survivors by helping them identify and connect with appropriate community resources based on their individual needs and circumstances. This may include referrals to crisis hotlines, shelters, legal advocacy, counseling providers, and other supportive services.

While we do not provide crisis intervention or emergency services, our approach is trauma-informed and safety-conscious, emphasizing informed choice, dignity, and access to trusted supports that promote stability and long-term well-being

03

Virtual Survivor Support Groups

We offer trauma-informed virtual support groups that provide survivors with a confidential, non-clinical space for connection, shared understanding, and mutual support. These groups are designed to reduce isolation, foster empowerment, and support meaning-making through lived experience rather than treatment or diagnosis.

In addition to facilitating groups, we provide education and training for individuals and organizations interested in leading survivor-centered support groups grounded in trauma-informed principles. Our support group programming is not a substitute for therapy and does not include crisis intervention services

04

Survivor Advocacy

Through public education campaigns, policy initiatives, and survivor-led outreach, we amplify voices that have been silenced. Our advocacy efforts push for social and systemic change, creating a future where survivors are heard, respected, and protected. We stand beside survivors as allies, changemakers, and defenders of justice and dignity.

What We Offer Right Now

The Storm Initiative is in its early stages, intentionally focused on building accessible, trauma-informed support where gaps exist. At this time, our work centers on virtual survivor support groups, professional education and training, resource and referral connection, and prevention-focused community learning.

As we grow, we remain committed to listening, learning, and responding thoughtfully—so that our programs reflect the real needs of survivors and the professionals who support them.
